day #2

January 7, 2011

Today is day two of postaday2011.  I’ve been thinking and thinking all day on what to post about today.  It’s hard to just let the words flow and see where they take you.  Its kind of scary too because you don’t know what will be revealed.

Lately I have been trying to read more books, one of my new year’s resolution but when you haven’t read anything in a very long time (5-6 years probably) you don’t know what to look for.

Do you go for the books that are on the best sellers list or do you go for books that have a meaning?  I have been reading chick flicks such as Sophie Kinsella’s books: Remember Me and Twenties Girl.

I would suggest The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. I think it has some of the good aspects of chick literature, but with a lot more meat on the bones. It was a #1 bestseller on the NY Times list. (I have a ton more recommendations, if you are interested.)
