Because you loved me…

February 25, 2009

My daughter Sumy was sitting in the bed next to her uncle and out of nowhere said to me, “Mom, I feel so bad for you.” (Tumar lage amar ze dhuk lage–for those that know bangla).

Of course I’m puzzled as to why she would say that and so I ask her, “why?”

She said, “because you love me.” (Kene tume amare bala fao)

This young girl who at times is a teenage always surprises me with her insightful and witty words.

She was so upset at the doctors today for giving her brother his one year shots that she kept yelling at them in our native language. They understood it all but probably ignored her. She was calling them crazy in the car and said we will not go to the doctor any more.

You’re Bengali :O !?Anyways this post was kinda confusing. Was she upset that you took time out of your life to take care of her? If so, that’s incredibly sweet. She deserves pie or ladu this weekend! 🙂

MashaAllah, what a sweet child! <3Lol, I remember similar things in childhood but it was mostly at the dentist rather than the doctors lol :PAnd subhanaAllah, you're Bengali? That is so awesome. Some (out of a finger-counting few) of my dearest friends are BengaliLove,L.K.P.S. Thank you for the comment on my poem again ❤ I do wonder what my husband will look like, that is if I will get married :^)
